Established
in 1937 and registered as a Private Limited Company in 1973,
Pars Ram Brothers (Pte) Ltd has a lineage that runs
more than a century ago trading in over 130 varieties of South-East Asian
commodities and produce. The family business dates far back to the early 1890's
when Mr Kirpa Ram Sharma's grandfather
migrated with his brothers, to Malaysia, in search of a brighter future. He
went on to establish trading operations in states such as Ipoh, Penang,
Singapore as well as rubber estates in Kuala Nerang. Thereafter, his son, the
group's current Chairman came to Singapore in 1937 and ventured into import
& export of grains and spices. The extensive family business in Singapore
has thus spanned three generations with Kirpa Ram Sharma
now being the Managing Director of
the company.
The
company specialises in the trading of all types of authentic natural spices
(both in whole and grounded form) like, cloves, cumin seeds, fennel seeds,
fenugreek seeds, ginger, mustard seeds, nutmegs, pepper as well as processed
spices like crushed chillies and different recipes of curry powders and
seasonings. Besides spices,it also trades in almonds, cashewnut kernels,
desiccated coconut, pulses, rice, sesame seeds, sago seeds, tea and other types
of agricultural commodities. PRB's products are exported to multiple countries
across the world and have earned it very high levels of market acceptance.
